Experience

Twenty seven years of technical and technical management experience in Telecommunications and Information Technology (IT) implementation and support. I have worked as a data communications technician, network technician, application programmer, Software Quality Assurance Manager, Software Configuration Manager, and Software Project Manager. In addition, I managed several other specialists in application development and IT infrastructure building. I oversaw budget, planning, training, and personnel development.  I personally possess in-depth technical skills in the areas of complex software and Information Systems design, development, deployment, and follow up support.

Qualifications

Internet/Intranet Development.  Designed and implemented web applications utilizing IIS, Sun/iPlanet/Oracle IAS, JAVA, JSP, Javascript,  FRONTPAGE, COLD FUSION, HTML, ODBC, VBScript, Active Server Page (ASP), CGI, Oracle and MS-SQL  application programming interface software. Developed sophisticated web sites and applications using automated tools as well as text editor coding.  Administered OpenText Corporation's Livelink Intranet application.  Experienced with current and evolving web technologies, credit card and ACH processing. Technical Project Manager.  Proven track record at supervising highly skilled technicians. I built a strong team environment that resulted in superior services and products to a multitude of clients. Four years experience providing centralized infrastructure and technical support to 38 sites world-wide consisting of 2500 users of UNIX, NOVELL 3.X/4.X and NT LANs connected via a secure internet. By identifying customer needs and desires, I established enterprise wide application hardware and software standards, managed special application development, provided IT solutions, and ensured continued technical and optimization support through an effective Help Desk that documented solutions and support metrics data.

Programmer/Analyst Manager.  Twenty plus years experience in application software design, development, integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, system management and administration. Programmed in JAVA, FORTRAN, C, Assembly. Software Quality Assurance Manager, developed SQA Database application and web interface to document and track defects in Software Work Products, and deviations of Software Engineering Processes. Software Configuration Manager, applied MKS Source Integrity and Track Integrity to manage software baselines.  Recorder for the Software Engineering Process Group, developed Software Process Improvement documents as well as automated tools in MS Access with web interfaces.  Managed development of client server applications in PARADOX and Visual Basic. Managed development of JAVA/Oracle web applications.  Additionally, I performed extensive technical writing of user and programmer support documentation as well as training course development.

Information Systems Specialist.  Products and technologies that I have hands-on experience with include: TCP/IP, ETHERNET, NOVELL, NT, SNA, SMTP, Internet/intra-net, PDP-11/VAX, Sun Solaris/UNIX, DOS, Windows NT, LOTUS cc:Mail, REMEDY, and MS-Office.  Provided technical guidance and planning for Internet Services Provider and customer support web applications.
